Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Amboseli is famous for being one of the best places in the world to encounter freely rooming elephants. It sits at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the world. Amboseli was set aside as a reserve in 1906 and covers 392sqkm. It contains 400 species of birds and in addition to elephants, it is home to Cape buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, Masai giraffe, hyena, blue wildebeest and grants zebra. Overall it is simply an amazing place to visit.
